Tempest of Light

I never really walk into a work of art knowing exactly what I want to do with it. In fact, I never usually even have an idea for it in my head. I find a stock image that inspires me, and I work around that. I'm too spontaneous to put ideas in stone, I like the ability to transform, add, and remove as I'm creating.

I'm pretty pleased with the results here. I did not use my traditional method of starfielding, and I went out of my way to try new things. So here is the result after a number of hours of work, and music from the Gladiator soundtrack on repeat the whole time.
